LOVE CHANGES CELLS TO MAXIMISE ENERGY THROUGH LOVING OUR NEIGHBOURS AS OURSELVES

Greetings!

I am amazed by the current "culture wars" that are costing all members of society a king's ransome- whether it be protests against climate change, or for LGBTQ and transgender rights , or against "racism". etc etc - the root cause is fear of lack- whether lack of earthly resources or lack of human respect or love - the which fear leads to the desire to control other peoples freedom of expression by force. This force can include prescriptive legislation denying human rights of freedom as well as violent protest.

That is why I believe that a return to the "Golden Rule" = Do as you would be done by and the commandment "Love Thy Neighbour as Thyself " are fundamental to peace in our world, our society, our homes, our relationships, our schools and our local communities.

my current experience in the Retirement community in which I live epitomises the scenario happening on a broader scale in worldwide politics.

A demeaning Notice re respecting other human beings was put on the Residents Notice Board re respecting the Development Manager saying they are people too and stating other roles they play in terms of " I am a care giver" " am managing a disability" " I am a parent etc" . As though perfectly "normal" residents pose some form of threat and need warning off for their imagined misbehaviour in disrespecting a fellow human.

Every human being plays different roles in life- as Shakespeare said "all the worlds a stage and we are only players" so in our roles of parent, child, carer/ cared for , employer/ employee/ doctor/patient , teacher/pupil, musician, writer, breadwinner, dependant, co-dependant. sports man/woman gardener lover etc etc we all choose the roles we play in our lives - one of which may be victim.

Within those roles are boundaries - rules of the game- and often legally defining the role - as in employment..

It is up to each individual to reconcile the demands of the roles they play outside of work/ with those that they sign up for when they enter a legal employment contract. If any employee enters a legal contract which he/she is unable to perform because of conflicting personal roles such as parenting or for health reasons they are unable to honour their contract and so they need to reassess their personal priorities. It has nothing to do with discrimination or lack of respect from any other person who expects the Employee to be professional in fulfilling contractual duties in a timely way and who has no need to know of the employee personal circumstances which are a private matter. - no doubt protected by the dreaded GDPR.

Similarly, the employee can choose to stand up for the fulfilment of the terms of its Employment contract by the employer who may. for example, make unwarranted demands on the availability of an Employee out of contracted working hours. It is usually fear that holds us back from asserting our own needs and self worth as I did as one of the first female international investment bankers in the 1970s.

So please join me in discussing how we can increase our confidence in our own worth to empower ourselves to live a better life and by the same token empower those around us to do the same.
