Easter Greetings!
The ancient celebration of the almost miraculous rebirth of the natural world in spring has been and is incorporated in some way in all religious or spiritual practices . The Early Christians used it to combine the pagan celebrations of new life with the celebration of the New risen resurrection life of Christ after death on the Cross.
So after the dark cold nights of the winter of fear and deprivation the world is awakened to the warmth and burgeoning promise of a new world of plenty
So this is a very timely reminder that in the midst of all the apparent distress and current turmoil in the world there is an antidote to this malaise as Christ taught.
An Attitude of Gratitude- the constant giving of thanks and praise, in the same night he was betrayed he broke the bread and gave thanks
Forgiveness, On the Cross he said Forgive them Lord for they know not what they do - they are unaware.
Mercy and Repentance and above all Humility - the surrender to and acceptance of the will of our own Higher Power - through which surrender of our own egoic fears we truly come into our own God-given power - the meek shall inherit the earth
And after 3 days in the outer darkness of the tomb of death He rose again in Glory as did the Phoenix rise from the ashes by releasing his dungballs wrapped in Myrrh (Forgiveness) and presented them on the altar of the Sun God - brought them into the light.
