LOVE CHANGES CELLS TO MAXIMISE ENERGY AND BRINGS PEACE AT THE FESTIVE SEASON

Seasons Greetings RE: RACISM - an insidious cancer in our society I have been amazed at the accusations of Racism that abound today. On the one hand we have a society that prides itself on “multi-culturalism” which phrase in itself recognises diversity of cultures. – and could therefore be said by todays social media forum to be “racist” because it highlights differences instead of embracing the underlying similarities of all mankind. And NO - “Mankind” is not a pejorative term recognising only masculine entities- it is a scientific category referring to the whole human race man·kind [mankind] NOUN 1. human beings considered collectively; the human race: "research for the benefit of all mankind" This being the case, it seems to me that it is a denial of all of our common heritage (which concept underlies all our EU and UK Human Rights legislation and indeed, the American constitution) to discriminate on the basis of ethnicity (colour of skin), gender or creed – religious or philosophical beliefs. That being said, we, as a society, are now facing bullying and unfair comments re racism in the very name of the equality that the perpetrators say they are seeking. A case in Point is Prince Harry complaining that his wife was not given more special protection than other Royal Wives because of her colour- who is making the racist distinctions here???? Another case in point is the current controversy regarding comments made by an 83 year old person who has rendered unpaid loyal service to the Royal Family of the UK for 60 years who spoke to a black skinned person proudly wearing the costume/clothing and hairstyle of its ethnic origins and invited by the Queen Consort to attend a function at Buckingham Palace ( no discrimination there) and asked this person ( in what may have been intended as polite conversation) where it came from ? Meaning its ethnic origins so proudly displayed in dress and hairstyle. This person at 83 was alive in the UK during the second world war and lived here when the parents of the attendee came from wherever they came from to the UK (said to be in the 1950’s) and was given an understanding that the person spoken to was not indigenous to the UK by the apparel worn , hairstyle and yes- indisputably colour of skin- and therefore displayed a natural and polite curiosity regarding the persons origins. “ Where do you come from?” This was apparently misunderstood as a “racist” attack and very defensive replies were given leading to further probing. Out of such human misunderstandings come hugely costly aftermaths of blame and shame even of older people said to be respected by the complainant to be revered in its culture.The milk of human kindness appears to have evaporated in the face of social media exploitation. What to me is even worse is that the Royal Family appears to have given in to the power of Social Media before investigating the factual realities of the accusations about one of their loyal servants and ditched that relationship to pacify social media . I sincerely trust that lessons will be learnt about what it really means to be an inclusive society – that includes people of all genders, ethnicity, beliefs – including those we personally may find “offensive” including “ white people” and cis people and practice the healing power of forgiveness for past hurts in order to move on into a better world. Let us all live in Love and Peace with all HuMankind - especially at this time of family celebrations and sharing of bounty I invite you to medItate on the meaning of sharing a common humanity and living in Love and Peace with all Mankind. until we meet again on Zoom in the New Year.
