Greetings on this Valentine's day of Love.! The King of Love my shepherd is whose goodness faileth never - I nothing lack if I am his and he is mine for ever (Psalm 23) OOPS! Sorry - God forbid I should give offence to any poor soul by using a gender specific word like "his". .

Political correctness and dumbing down of language has greatly altered the spiritual teachings of the Bible. I have found There are passages in the new versions that defy all meaning of what Christ actually was teaching.. Even the simplest of changes made in the interests of better sounding alliteration in changing "Our Father which art in heaven" to "Our Father who art in heaven" diminishes the universal Life-force/energy of God into a personal state. as do the words- whose nature it is to have mercy - changed from Property - as in properties of a quantum field used in computer language . AS I understand it JC was urging us to understand our intimacy in communication with our creator/progenitor as though it was a father which is the power of Love - not a WHO but a Which .. It is about -life force - Chi - nothing to do with gender. In many early depictions Christ too is portrayed as androgynous. Similarly , the institution of marriage between a biological man and a biological woman was created to protect the evolution and proliferation of the human species (MAN- or Mankind) through one of its stated purposes - that of of procreation - children - that would be protected from genetic damage through interbreeding by the degrees of relationship allowed by the Holy Laws. Incest is still taboo in our culture. But if we ditch all the old precepts we are likely to throw the baby out with the bathwater. Puts me in mind of the old song" if I were the only man in the world and you were the only girl". - if there were only two men or two women the human race would soon be extinct Old words of the Creed also referred to the Quick ( those with Energy of LIFE -Chi or prana) and the Dead ( the depressed- those living in the grip of the 7 deadly (depressing) sins- Greed ,gluttony, lust, vanity, pride, envy, sloth. These seem to be the driving force of most human lives today. So let us return to Love and be the Change we wish to see in our world and trust our ripples will spread into a wider sea for the good of all.
